His House Ministries began from the vision of founding pastors Tim Allred and Chad Lamb. Their dream was to build a ministry that would reach the un-churched people of our region. On May 18, 2003, we held our first public meeting in a warehouse cafeteria with 253 people in attendance. We continued to meet in this location until September of that year. During this exciting time, we experienced enormous growth and were blessed to purchase 30 acres of property on State Route 303, south of Mayfield. His House now had a future home. In September, Graves County High School became our next meeting location. From fall of 2003 to spring of 2004, the high school served as a place for “portable” worship services, while small groups met in homes throughout the week. Our next stop was the former Mayfield Twin Cinema located in the Plaza Shopping Center. Celebrating our one-year anniversary on April 18, 2004, we moved into the Cinema and broadened our ministry to two Sunday morning services. |
Following a series of God-inspired events, we were further blessed to purchase a 20-acre farm adjacent to our original 30-acre property, complete with a 10,000 square-foot horse barn. Desperately needing more space, over the next seven months hundreds of volunteers worked tirelessly to convert the horse barn into a facility with a state of the art worship center, café, and children’s and student space. On April 23, 2006, celebrating our third anniversary, we moved into our current facility—“The Barn.” Throughout these first few years, God has continued to amaze us with His love and faithfulness. Now with over 500 people in weekly attendance, His House continues the vision to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We’re a part of an amazing move of God! What’s happening at His House Ministries is not normal—and it’s just getting started. |
